Job Description

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2 years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Join General Dynamics Mission Systems as a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer focused on aerospace composites and machined parts. We build military and commercial radomes, aerostructures, and modular shelters, working closely with companies such as Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, and Raytheon, as well as the Navy, Air Force, and Army. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes for parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. You will collaborate with design engineering to release new products and estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements. Your expertise will help improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, and production equipment. Additionally, you will lead quality initiatives using Six Sigma methodology, document procedures, and provide process analysis for new business opportunities. The role involves working closely with hourly personnel, applying craftsmanship-like techniques, and ensuring competitive and cost-effective processes. Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. USD $77,103.00 - USD $85,537.00 /Yr.
