High Risk Antepartum- 6 weeks to 41 weeksPTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, prom, twins, substance use disorder in pregnancy.Care of fetal demise or loss of patients both antepartum and postpartum, postpartum mother with baby in NICU, no newborns on this unit.Unit Details: - Support of amnio or sterile spec exam at the bedside- PCA Pumps- PICC/Central Lines, Syringe Pumps- Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfatescrub requirements : any color but when floated to the L&D units scrubs are providedCertifications: - AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (REQUIRED)- ACLS (PREFERRED) SKILLSWork Setting: - High Risk AntepartumAntepartum Care and Procedures: - Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: - Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC)Medication & Administration: - Anticoagulants, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapyLabor and Delivery Management: Circulate for C-section 3 weekend shifts only per 6 weeks vs the traditional 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule.50% less weekend shifts. No exceptions.Floating: All travelers are expected to float to another unit within their scop of practice if needed. The facility has a designated float team that floats first however, in the event there is a need at another campus travelers will float first before perm staff. All facilities are within a 40-mile radius or less. In the event that the traveler needs to float, it their responsibility to find transportation to the facility they re floated to. Traveler s refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.REFERENCES - Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year (6 months for CNA s) of employment total within the last three years within a comparable specialty/setting that they are are non-billable, average 16 hours spent.
