Job Title: Patient Registrar
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11215
Shift: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm - Monday - Friday 5x8 hour (40 hours weekly)
Duration: 11 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Pay Range: $22/hr.
Job Summary:
Answer phone calls and redirect calls to the appropriate individual.
Greet patients.
Record patient information.
Digitize patient information.
Collect patient payment information and check that it is valid.
Validate medical insurance coverage.
File patient records.
Requirements:
Bilingual in Spanish or Russian
HS diploma/GED
1 year clerical experience (medical office/ multispecialty office/ front desk).
Data entry skills of 4500 keystrokes.
Familiarity with medical terminology.
Medical office with heavy phone call volume experience.
Effective communication, telephone, keyboard, customer service skills.
Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4, health insurance benefits/requirements.
