We're seeking a detail‑oriented and creative Mid/Senior‑Level WordPress Developer to manage, update, and optimize our client'​s WordPress‑powered website(s), you will help moving from the Divi theme to a custom Full Site Editing (FSE) theme built on WordPress Blocks, hosted on Altis Cloud. You'll help to migrate from legacy Divi architecture to a modern block‑based WordPress ecosystem, setting the foundation for new international sites, product hubs, and integrated marketing experiences. Your Responsibilities Manage and maintain both the Divi theme and theme.json configuration until the full transition to a custom Full Site Editing (FSE) theme in 2026 Contribute to the development and implementation of custom FSE themes and reusable block patterns Work closely with designers to translate Figma layouts into responsive, accessible, and high‑performance front‑end code Manage and optimize WordPress environments hosted on Altis Cloud (currently WP Engine, with migration planned by 2026) Maintain, refactor, and modernize existing PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS codebases to improve stability and scalability Build and document reusable blocks, templates, and components for marketing and internal teams Collaborate with backend engineers, SEO specialists, and content creators to streamline publishing workflows Troubleshoot layout or plugin issues, review pull requests, and ensure adherence to clean coding standards Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and accessibility, ensuring compliance with WCAG and mobile responsiveness Monitor site content for accuracy, consistency, and freshness, applying SEO best practices to meta tags, headlines, and structure Requirements 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in WordPress development (custom themes, plugins, APIs) Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), React, and PHP Experience with Gutenberg, block development, and ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) Familiarity with Divi or Elementor, with an interest in transitioning to custom themes or Full Site Editing (FSE) Experience managing cloud hosting environments (Altis Cloud, WP Engine) Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and performance optimization principles Excellent collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product teams Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills English: Upper-Intermediate or higher Nice-to-Have Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Semrush) Experience with internationalization (i18n) or analytics integrations Prior experience supporting global brand websites or enterprise‑scale WordPress instances Benefits A friendly, diverse, and inclusive community Flexible working hours and remote work options Informal culture with short decision‑making chains Support for professional development, training, and certification Regular company events (ITRexTalks, Tech Meet‑Ups, Q&A sessions with leadership) Social benefits (medical insurance, sports reimbursement, English classes) Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at ITRex Group by 2x.
