About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Commercial Banker to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, originating, processing, and servicing a diverse range of customers, including personal, professional, agricultural, and commercial clients. The primary focus of the role is to maintain a profitable loan portfolio while ensuring customer satisfaction and adhering to the bank's loan policy guidelines. This position requires a strong commitment to the community, and the ideal candidate should be a well-established commercial banker with a minimum of 5 years' banking experience, including at least 3 years in commercial banking. Key responsibilities for the VP, Commercial Banker include interviewing loan applicants, analyzing financial data, making credit decisions, and negotiating credit terms. The role also involves actively soliciting new business, cross-selling bank services, and participating in community affairs to enhance the bank's visibility. The candidate will be expected to coach staff, manage credit lines, and contribute to the bank's goals related to credit quality and profitability. A BS/BA degree in business or accounting is preferred, or equivalent banking experience, and the candidate should be adept at managing customer relationships and have a proven track record in commercial lending.
