Tax Accountant - Staff

**Location:** Henderson, NV

**Type:** Full-Time

Overview

As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare individual and business tax returns, assist in tax planning engagements, and support client compliance needs under the supervision of senior staff and managers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state income tax returns for:
• 1040 – Individual Income Tax
• 1065 – Partnership Income Tax
• 1120S – S-corporation Income Tax
• 1120 – C-corporation Income Tax
• 1041 – Trust & Estate Income Tax
• 706 – Estate Tax
• Etc.

• Assist clients with bookkeeping and financial statement preparation and presentation
• Analyze financial information and identify tax-saving opportunities
• Conduct basic tax research and draft technical memoranda
• Communicate with clients to collect necessary documentation
• Track and record billable time by client and/or project
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA eligibility preferred)
• 0–3 years of experience in public accounting or tax
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Interest in a career in tax and public accounting
• Familiarity with accounting software is a plus (most clients use Quickbooks)
• Familiarity with tax preparation software is a plus (we use CCH ProSystem)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Pay & Benefits

• Salary of $60,000 to $85,000
• “Bank Time” system allows you to be compensated or use additional paid time off for overtime worked during busy season
