About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its Little Rock site. The successful candidate will be a seasoned executive with a strong background in people management, operational success, and growth through resource generation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the site meets its impact, revenue, and partnership goals, and the ideal leader will be a natural coalition-builder, people developer, and influencer with a deep commitment to the power of education. Responsibilities include leading and managing staff and AmeriCorps members, fostering a culture of inclusivity and teamwork, and serving as the primary champion of the organization's local impact. The Executive Director will also be responsible for private sector fundraising, cultivating strategic partnerships, and engaging with local and national elected officials to support the organization's mission. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a proven track record in the core behaviors of the role, including the ability to build and empower teams, forge partnerships, and mobilize stakeholders. Strong interpersonal communication, leadership, and management skills are essential, as is the ability to connect programs to funding and creatively generate resources. The role requires a leader who is a lifelong learner, with a deep sense of personal accountability and the ability to inspire young people. Experience in the local non-profit sector, a strong local network, and knowledge of the educational landscape are preferred. The Executive Director will also be responsible for financial management, board engagement, and ensuring the sustainability of the site through effective government relations and public policy advocacy.
