As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, responding to alarms, and assisting with badge and access control procedures. You will also interact with staff and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist visitors and/or staff with directions and general information as needed.
• Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner.

• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the job state for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
