Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in the design and development of a new Salesforce implementation
  • Administer and maintain the Salesforce system, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability
  • Administer all aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules 
  • Manage Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports 
  • Manage Sandbox environment
  • Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on user experience 
  • Identify unused or underutilized platform features 
  • Create a platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders 
  • Own the communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders 
  • Establish data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed 
  • Deliver proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer 
  • Manage user support tickets 
  • Monitor and improve user adoption 
  • Provide new user and ongoing user training
  • Create technical documentation 
  • Work with integrated applications including DocuSign, SPIFF, Salesforce Shield and other custom integrations 

Requirements and skills: 

  • Ability to administer and configure a Salesforce system (roles. custom objects, workflows, permissions, etc.). 
  • Familiarity with automating business processes, creating reports/dashboards, and data analysis/modeling. 
  • Knowledge in designing, building, and implementing custom applications using the declarative customization capabilities of the Salesforce Platform. 
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, customization, and maintenance. 
  • Experience with data management and data quality assurance. 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce integrations and API usage. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. 

Preferred: 

  • Additional Salesforce certifications e.g. Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder
