Responsibilities include covering vacations for sales routes, providing ongoing service to each account, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment by following safety policies and procedures. The role may be physically demanding at times. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maximize sales through effective planning and execution of objectives, and develop a strong product knowledge. Make persuasive presentations, answer questions, overcome objections, and provide proof of proposals. Demonstrate products using samples or catalogs, emphasize features, quote prices, and solicit orders. Make sales calls to customers and prospects, presenting our product brands. Write orders, design displays, and organize on-site promotions. Apply in-store merchandising principles to maximize sales opportunities. Encourage retail accounts to follow shelf management and display guidelines. Utilize point-of-sale materials to enhance merchandising success. Maintain knowledge of products sold at each account and ensure proper product rotation, cleanliness, and stock levels. Adhere to professional dress and appearance standards to project a positive company image. Perform duties safely and considerately. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-2 years related experience or equivalent. Must be 21 or older. Valid driver’s license, good driving record, proof of auto insurance (SR-22 not accepted), and reliable transportation. Experience in beverage sales, merchandising, or distribution is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with competing priorities. Physical Demands Use of pallet jacks and hand carts required for loading/unloading. Frequently lift/move 10-25 pounds; occasionally move/push or pull up to 250 pounds. Regularly stand, walk, lift, reach, and communicate; occasionally sit, climb, or kneel. Work environment is usually moderate noise, occasionally high.
