The Lead Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assisting the Vent Manager/
District Manager in the efficient management of respiratory services in his/her assigned account(s).
This position also assists in integration of respiratory care services in all settings. The Lead Respiratory
Therapist supports the delivery of the highest standards and quality of respiratory services.
1. The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the
state of practice.
2. The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor must have three years direct patient care experience, and either
one year of management experience in a respiratory setting or has functioned successfully as a point
person under the supervision of a VPM/DM for a period of one year.
3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
4. A thorough knowledge of Respiratory Therapy procedures is required.
