As a Consulting Remote Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, preparing month-end ledgers, preparing incurred cost submissions, uploading payroll in Costpoint, 1099 Form Preparation, managing fixed assets, handling accounts payable and billing. Your experience with DCAA and DCMA will be a considerable asset to our team.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Remote Senior Payroll Specialist (Contractor) to join our team in the healthcare industry. This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to apply their skills and experience within a challenging and rewarding environment. The primary function of this role is to manage the payroll function of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant federal and state wage laws.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Remote Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Managing the upload of payroll in Costpoint and ensuring all data and entries are accurate and up-to-date.
2. Handling the billing process, ensuring all invoices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner.
3. Utilizing your DCAA and DCMA experience to ensure all payroll practices comply with these regulations.
4. Managing multi-state payroll, understanding the various state laws and regulations and ensuring compliance.
5. Using ADP to manage payroll and related processes.
6. Creating and managing payroll journal entries in Costpoint, ensuring all entries are accurate and reflect the correct amounts.
7. Reconciling post-employee leave, ensuring all leave is accurately recorded and reflected in the payroll.
8. Ensuring compliance with all federal and state wage laws, keeping up-to-date with any changes and implementing these into the payroll process.
9. Processing full cycle payroll across multiple states, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
10. Using Deltek Costpoint for various payroll processes, demonstrating a high level of proficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Consulting Remote Senior Payroll Specialist role will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, with a focus on multi-state payroll.
2. Experience with uploading payroll in Costpoint.
3. Experience with billing and the use of ADP for payroll management.
4. DCAA and DCMA experience, with an understanding of the regulations and how they apply to payroll.
5. Experience with payroll journal entries in Costpoint.
6. Ability to reconcile post-employee leave and ensure it is accurately reflected in the payroll.
7. Knowledge of federal and state wage laws, with the ability to ensure compliance.
8. Experience with processing full cycle payroll across multiple states.
9. Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint.
10. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
11. A strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
