Gillmann Services is  NOW HIRING for a  Powder Coater in Beaver, WV!

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare metal surfaces by removing rust, dirt, grease, or other contaminants using methods such as hand tools or chemical cleaning.
• Powder Coating Application: Use handheld spray guns to apply powder coating materials evenly to ensure complete coverage and adherence to specifications.
• Curing Process: Place coated items in a curing oven to melt the powder and form a hard, protective layer.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring that the coating meets quality standards and client specifications.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain powder coating equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of coating processes, including job specifications and quality control data.

Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of powder coating techniques and equipment operation is essential. Familiarity with safety protocols and handling of chemicals is also required.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to perform targeted and detailed work to maintain the quality of the finished product.
• Physical Stamina: The role may require standing for long periods and handling heavy items, so physical fitness is important.
• Experience: Previous experience as a powder coater.
