Job Description

Internal Medicine Practice in El Paso needs a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

  • 40-hour work weeks
  • $125,000 first year for experienced - negotiable
  • First-year range for new graduates $90,000 - $95,000 
  • $110,000 second year

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, managing acute and chronic conditions in adult patients. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team to diagnose, treat, and educate patients on preventive care and disease management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and provide medication management in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform in-office procedures as appropriate.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical guidelines.
  • Provide telehealth consultations when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Active PA-C certification from NCCPA (for Physician Assistants) OR
    • Active NP license with certification in Adult, Family, or Internal Medicine (for Nurse Practitioners).
    • Current Texas medical licensure and DEA registration.
