SECTION I:

Basic Function: Provide patient supervision in a treatment milieu under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintain a safe and secure environment for child, adolescent, and adult patients. Promote safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment.

SECTION II:

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred: One year of college in Human Relations. Preferred: Healthcare experience, especially in behavioral health. Experience in direct support roles (e.g., mentoring, teaching, coaching) preferred. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and time management skills. On-the-job training provided. SECTION III: Guiding Behaviors Communication: Listen to understand. Collaboration: Ensure safety and deliver outstanding service. Compassion: Serve with empathy, dignity, and compassion. SECTION IV: Physical Requirements Push/pull, lift/move 35 lbs. Perform manual tasks like typing and filing. Stationary and mobile for extended periods. Participate in physical therapeutic activities (e.g., kicking, running, stretching, dancing). Comprehend and communicate in English.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

Clinical Duties: Perform patient care activities, including bathing, personal care, and nourishment. Obtain and record patient data and care activities. Assist with patient activity using correct body mechanics and transfer techniques. Perform one-to-one observation for patient protection. Facilitate groups and activities, documenting in the medical record. Collect and identify laboratory specimens. Operational Duties: Support the treatment team in maintaining a therapeutic milieu. Respond to code situations. Adhere to safety protocols and hospital policies. Complete annual competency requirements. Salary Range: $16.65-$22.37/hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
