Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with urgent care billing, including in-house laboratory services. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a growing organization from the comfort of your home while working standard business hours

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full revenue cycle process for urgent care services
• Submit and follow up on insurance claims and patient billing
• Ensure accuracy of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for urgent care visits and lab procedures
• Resolve billing discrepancies and denied claims
• Communicate effectively with providers and staff to clarify documentation
• Maintain compliance with federal and payer-specific regulations

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2+ years of urgent care medical billing experience is required.
• Experience billing for in-house lab services strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of coding principles (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
