Our client is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Supervisor for an immediate opening in Harlem. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective management of nursing staff and ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations. The Assistant Nurse Supervisor will oversee medical records, documentation, and collaborate with the residential staff to ensure that individuals’ medical needs are met in accordance with OPWDD guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of nursing practices, regulatory compliance, and be able to lead and educate the team in health-related matters.

Job Function:

• Day Shift


• Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm


• Ensure OPWDD regulations are adhered to and oversee the nursing staff to meet NYF standards.


• Manage the medical records and documentation processes, ensuring they comply with OPWDD requirements.


• Work with nurses and residential staff to ensure that the medical needs of individuals are appropriately met and documented.


• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and assist in the development of treatment and healthcare plans.


• Ensure that consents for routine/emergency care, medical procedures, and psychotropic medication are obtained on time.


• Conduct health education and training, including infection control, OSHA guidelines, AMAP training, and re-certification.


• Oversee and participate in quarterly medication reviews for group homes and institutions in the Bronx.

Job Requirements:

• Updated First Aid/CPR certifications required


• 2-3 years working with adults that has developmental disabilities.


• Completion of mandated course: Infection Control, Abuse/Incident Reporting
