Job Description

• Title: Lab Technician
• Pay: $20.00/Hr.
• Employment Type: Temp
• Employment Model: On-Site
• Location: Dallas, TX 75203
• Schedule: 8am-5pm ~ Monday-Friday.

LAB TECHNICIAN
Duties:

• Performing sample receipt according to published methodologies or SOPs;
• Using the LIMS software and database to enter samples received and sample collection data.
• Writing, editing, reviewing SOPS, as assigned by the manager.
• Notifying the Laboratory Manager of needed equipment and supplies.
• Other duties defined in the Employee Performance Plan (EPP).
• Signing of chain of custodies and sample receiving log.
• Signing packing slips/ receipt for supplies.
• Performing temperature checks.
• Performing weekly hazardous waste cabinet check and monthly safety check.
• Disposing of samples as needed.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A bachelor's degree in biology or chemistry is preferred.

Experience:

• Proven experience as Lab Technician or relevant position.
• Experience in working electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System platform.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills
• Keen problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to pass a background check with no FELONY or Class A/B MISDEMEANOR(s).
• Ability to pass a drug test.
