Why does the job exist? The IT Application Developer II / Salesforce Developer & Administrator will help the agency continually improve and enhance the Salesforce platform and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) functionality.
The IT Application Developer II/Salesforce Developer & Administrator will:
- Gather requirements, feedback, design scalable best practice solutions, and contribute to the agency product road map;
- Utilize all aspects of user management including support tickets, training, and designing solutions with user satisfaction a priority;
- Keep the wider organization¿s best interests in mind when composing and deploying any code;
- Be comfortable with change management and governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing, and managing all aspects of a Salesforce project and;
- Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.
How does it get done? The IT Application Developer II / Salesforce Developer & Administrator is responsible for:
- All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, organization wide defaults (OWD) and, sharing rules;
- Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports;
- Assisting in creating a platform roadmap and define priorities, collaborate with division and vendor stakeholders;
- Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed;
- Leading governance activities with vendor Salesforce technical leads and follow change management and governance practices;
- Resolving user support tickets, monitoring and improving user adoption, creating/ maintaining technical documentation and, training end users and key stakeholders.
Who are the customers? - This position supports both internal and external HCA staff and stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has:
- Three (3) years or more experience with Salesforce technologies;
- Demonstrated continued personal/professional development;
- Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes and;
- Basic knowledge of HTML, XML, Flex, ASP, SQL, Java or C++, REST and SOAP-based web services.
Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Engineering or similar technical degree and two (2) years of experience in software programming. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions Office setting. Long periods of sitting and continuous use of monitor and keyboard. Stress due to deadlines and workload. Occasional overnight travel, work after hours, weekends and/or holidays may be required; Occasionally variable work schedule.
