Job Description

Ultimate Staffing's Client is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join their team in Baltimore, MD. This role plays a vital part in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, handling various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, HRIS management, benefits, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong presentation and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the flexibility to support multiple office locations. The Human Resources Specialist will assist the HR team with daily responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume reviews, interview scheduling, and coordinating hiring activities.
  • Organize and attend career fairs and open houses across different regions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local colleges and universities to enhance internship and co-op programs.
  • Represent the company at trade associations, networking events, and recruitment functions.
  • Utilize an applicant tracking system for recruitment data management and reporting.
  • Support new hire onboarding by ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintain and update employee records within the HR database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and address benefits-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate HR-related events, training sessions, and team-building initiatives.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Salary Range:

$59,000 - $70,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on various factors, including job scope, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed during peak periods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, teamwork, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to pass a standard background check.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
