Full or Part Time Bookkeeper

Summary/Objective: Bookkeeper maintains and records a complete systematic set of business transactions. Balances ledgers, reconciles accounts, and prepares reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable, and payable.

Pay: $30.00-33.00/hr depending on experience

Hours: Flexible, part time schedule (must be during normal business hours)

Duties:

  • Operates computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information.
  • Checks figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
  • Classifies, records and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers.
  • Debits, credits and totals accounts in computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
  • Receives, records and banks cash, checks and vouchers.
  • Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Compiles statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
  • Codes documents according to company procedures.
  • Reconciles on notes and reports discrepancies found in records

Qualifications:

  • Must pass drug and background screens
  • Able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing
  • 2+ years bookkeeping experience
  • Bachelors Degree in accounting or similar degree preferred
  • Prior experience processing payroll is ideal
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Experience with Service Titan preferred
