About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for the Center for Health Administration Studies (CHAS), a leading health policy and services research center. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the center's mission and new strategic direction, with a specific focus on the relationship between climate change and health. This leadership position involves developing key collaborations, building grant funding, and implementing new programming. The Executive Director will work closely with the Faculty Director, local, state, and national healthcare leaders, community partners, non-profits, media, and funders to ensure the center's strategic priorities are met and that it operates in compliance with university policies. Responsibilities also include serving as a leading voice on climate and health policy issues, managing the center's budget, and overseeing all administrative functions. Applicants for the Executive Director position at CHAS should have a minimum of 7 years' of work experience in a related discipline, with a preference for those holding an advanced degree in healthcare, environmental, climate fields, policy, business, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will have substantive expertise in climate change initiatives, particularly as they relate to health, and a proven track record in securing grant funding. Experience in grant-funded research organizations and higher education is strongly preferred, as is a background in climate and health policy. The role requires a collaborative leader with strong project management skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Executive Director will be expected to be a strategic thinker, capable of anticipating emerging trends and adapting to changing circumstances in the field of urban education.
