We are seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Department in White River Junction, VT and work as a member of a team on a variety of projects focusing on roadway and traffic design projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of transportation systems, such as roadways, intersections, bike paths, and public transit infrastructure.
• Perform traffic studies, collect data, and analyze results using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams, including urban planners, architects, and environmental scientists.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Support project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT registration preferred
• Intermediate skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation and Synchro preferred
• Experience with construction and/or land surveying is a plus
• Experience with VTrans
