CFC has a need for an Economic Research Analyst to join the Economic Research team. This is position requires onsite work at our headquarters office in Sterling, VA. The Economic Research Analyst is responsible for assisting with economic research, reports and presentations to internal and external parties concerning current macro-economic and financial industry developments.
As an Economic Research Analyst, you will:
•Develop reports, presentations, and analyses for use by the Economic Research team in order to provide invaluable insight into current economic trends.
•Review presentations on current macro-economic and financial industry developments for internal and external stakeholders.
•Maintain the team's publication and speaking engagement schedule including weekly Podcasts.
•Apply creative and thought-provoking graphs and charts concerning key emerging economic and financial trends and developments.
•Provide relevant and innovative idea generation on current developments while producing effective presentation and reporting materials using thought provoking historical trend analyses in both tabular and graphical form for executive team members and Board of Directors.
•Research current economic and financial data using Bloomberg LP, Tableau, Power BI or similar tools for analysis frequently produced by CFC's relationship banks and financial partners and other sources.
•Benchmark financial industry publications and analysis to continue to improve existing reports and publications for CFC.
•Collaborate with team to incorporate CFC brand standards into Economic Research team materials including presentations and publications.
To be successful, you will need:
•Bachelor's degree in Economics or Finance.
•3 years professional experience in the financial industry required.
•Experience with creating presentations and content for publications is preferred.
•Understanding of macro-economic developments, important financial industry trends and financial market developments.
•Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
•Persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
•Strong financial industry and macro-economic research and analysis skills.
•Knowledge of Bloomberg LP and Tableau or similar tools preferred.
•Intermediate Adobe creative suite skills and abilities.
•Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
•Inquisitive mindset and a sense of creativity and innovation.
•Team spirited and highly collaborative.
