As a Data Engineer Sr within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer who can demonstrate strong understanding of ETL, Database architecture and design, provide strategies to build scalable data systems, optimizing data pipelines and enabling data driven decision making. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 -7+ years of experience with data warehousing architecture and ETL.

Key responsibilities –
\t- Design, Develop and maintain robust scalable and efficient data pipelines
and ETL processes
\t- Build and optimize data architectures ensuring high performance ,
reliability and security
\t- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and
implement data solutions that meet business needs
\t- Proposes & designs data solutions to address complex business needs.
- Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
\t- Participates in code reviews & testing
\t- Applies modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
\t- Develop and manage data integrations between various systems , ensuring seamless data flow and consistency
\t- Optimize database and query performance to support analytical workloads
\t- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensuring data quality and integrity at all times
\t- Stay current with industry trends, technologies and best practices to continuously improve our data ecosystem

Skills-
\t- Expertise with data pipelines and ETL -informatica
\t- Expertise in SQL and database management systems
\t- Strong Knowledge of data modelling , warehousing concepts , and ETL
processes
\t- Experience with big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop,
Hive, Spark. Programming experience in Python or Scala.
\t- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
\t- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g Azure , AWS ) and their data related
services
\t- Proactive and detail oriented professional with strong sense of ownership
\t- Creative problem solver who can tackle complex data challenges
\t- Mentor who can guide junior engineers and contributes to team growth
\t- Excellent problem solving communication and collaboration skills
\t- Ability to work in agile environment. Experience with effectively prioritizing
and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment successfully
\t- Proficient with code deployment tools such as Udeploy, Artifactory, GitHub

Note: The position will be about 80% hands on data engineering and 20% innovation. Display an innovative approach to apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance technology solution capabilities.

Job Description

• Leads in developing, supporting and implementing data solutions for multiple applications in order to meet business objectives and user requirements. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
• Leads data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions.
• Leads in designing and building data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms, according the workflow.
• Oversees the development and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to ensure its scalability, availability and maintainability.
• Consults on data migration and transformation to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions.
