Role Description

The Project Manager will oversee highend millwork and decorative projects ensuring their successful delivery on time within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating all phases of the project from initial planning through punch list completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Preconstruction:

  • Take responsibility for project budget schedule and overall success.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Manager drafters architects designers and general contractors to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Oversee sample orders and ensure alignment with control samples project specifications and budget.
  • Prepare and submit samples shop drawings and submittals with proper documentation tracking approvals to maintain project timelines.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors placing orders after cost approvals.
  • Gather and disseminate technical information to engineering and design teams.
  • Maintain and update project finish schedules door and millwork hardware schedules.
  • Notify clients of design changes and prepare associated change orders in coordination with the USA Director.

Quality Control and Logistics:

  • Monitor fabrication progress to ensure alignment with budget and schedule.
  • Prepare and manage shipping documents packing lists and delivery logs.
  • Report and address any site conditions or issues that could impact the project timeline or quality.
  • Organize and oversee the proper delivery of containers and materials to warehouses or job sites.

Installation Phase:

  • Schedule and coordinate site deliveries ensuring teams have necessary tools materials and information.
  • Track and report changes in site conditions that could require adjustments or change orders.

Reporting and Client Management:

  • Document and share detailed minutes of meetings (online or onsite).
  • Regularly update clients and internal stakeholders on project progress discrepancies or potential risks.
  • Prepare monthly project invoicing in collaboration with the USA Director.

This role requires a proactive and detailoriented individual who can manage complex technical financial and scheduling aspects of highend projects while ensuring the highest levels of client satisfaction.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in interior decoration millwork carpentry or highend finishes.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in reading and interpreting complex architectural and millwork shop drawings.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relationship management skills especially when working with demanding highend designers architects and contractors.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly detailoriented autonomous and resourceful.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as necessary for moving materials and equipment at job sites.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite MS Project and AutoCAD.
  • Other Requirements: A valid drivers license is required for occasional site visits or projectrelated travel.
  • Language: Fluency in French is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
