About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) to lead and advance its diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives. The CDO will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive DEIB strategic plan that is in line with the institution's mission and values. This role involves fostering an inclusive campus climate, promoting equitable practices, and integrating DEIB principles into all aspects of the institution. The CDO will also be involved in education and training, recruitment and retention strategies, community engagement, data analysis, and policy development to ensure a more accessible and inclusive environment for all members of the community. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Doctorate, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in advancing DEIB or social justice in a higher education or similar mission-driven organization. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated commitment to promoting an inclusive and equitable environment. The CDO will work closely with senior leadership, faculty, staff, and students, and must be adept at building collaborative relationships and managing complex issues. Experience in data analysis, policy development, and a background in civil rights laws related to diversity and inclusion are also essential.
