About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to lead the strategic planning and execution of a comprehensive program that encompasses marketing, volunteer, and investment initiatives to further the organization's mission. The CAO will be responsible for overseeing fundraising, business development, marketing, communications, and volunteer recruitment and engagement. This dynamic and collaborative leader will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, the Board of Directors, and the Chief Executive Officer to attract philanthropic and volunteer support, sustain and build relationships, and ensure the organization's visibility and impact. The role demands a passionate individual with a Bachelor's degree, 7-10 years of professional experience, and a proven track record in development, marketing, sales, or management, preferably in the nonprofit sector. Key responsibilities for the CAO include leading the advancement team, fostering a culture of philanthropy, and instilling a results-oriented, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be adept at leading and managing people, developing and executing investment strategies, and will have a strong background in fundraising and donor development. The role also involves leading the development and execution of a comprehensive volunteer program, representing the organization in external communications, and guiding the vision and messaging for marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker, an excellent communicator, and a strategic leader with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
