Position Type: Classified Support Staff/ Bus Driver Date Posted: 11/21/2025 Location: Gabbs School (K-12) Date Available: TBD Closing Date: Until Filled Description: Bus Driver to drive van for Gabbs school. *No CDL Required* Location: Gabbs School 511 E Avenue Gabbs NV 89409 NOTE: Gabbs is a rural community approximately 280 miles from Pahrump NV Hours: 5.5 hours a day/ 4 days a week Salary Range: $22.10- $24.21 Job Goal : Provide safe and efficient transportation for District students. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of Essential Duties and Responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be supplemented with other duties as assigned by the Supervisor which does not conflict with the Master Agreement between NCSD and NCSSO. Obeys all traffic laws. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses. Maintains student discipline on the bus. Keeps assigned bus cleaned. This shall include all vision mirrors windows and the inside of the bus. Adheres to route stops and schedule as determined by the immediate supervisor. Reports all accidents and completes the required reports. Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or safety problems. Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-District school trips. Transports only authorized students and District Employees. Performs the daily pre-trip safety inspection of the bus. Enforces District bus safety rules. Qualifications: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent Correct English usage and grammar Knowledge of educational behavioral and emotional principles and techniques Ability to relateto adults and children of all ages particularly those with a disabling condition Current CPR certification and First Aid training Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to assist with toileting needs Working Conditions: Suitable workspace to carry out functions of position description.
