St. Louis University High School seeks a Science Teacher who will contribute to its Catholic, Jesuit mission by designing and delivering engaging science curriculum, supporting student formation, and participating in professional and spiritual development.

• Develop and teach an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum in one or more science disciplines, following Jesuit educational principles and best practices.
• Design and implement lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles, incorporating various teaching methods, including lab-based experiments.
• Prepare materials for lessons, assignments, and assessments; evaluate and provide meaningful feedback on student performance.
• Identify and address academic or behavioral concerns, collaborating with school leadership and learning support staff as needed.
• Foster student character and spiritual growth in alignment with the "Graduate at Graduation" framework.
• Work collaboratively with the Chemistry and Biology teams to enhance curriculum and lab activities.
• Administer standardized assessments in accordance with school policies.
• Maintain open, professional communication with students, parents, faculty, and administrators.
• Supervise students in hallways, study periods, and lunchrooms as part of shared faculty responsibilities.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, retreats, and formation programs that support personal and professional growth.
• Engage in co-curricular activities such as student clubs, organizations, or campus ministry.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Science required; Master's preferred.
• Prior teaching experience at the secondary level preferred.
• Understanding of Catholic and Jesuit educational philosophy, with a commitment to holistic student development.
• Strong instructional skills, with the ability to create engaging lessons and lab experiences.
• Effective classroom management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and other relevant educational technology.
