Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Engineer to join our onshore team in Dallas. This role will be pivotal in driving data ingestion, integration, and pipeline development efforts in collaboration with offshore teams and client stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure data services and a strong understanding of data engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Azure-based data ingestion and integration activities from onshore, coordinating with an offshore team.
• Collaborate closely with Data Architects and Lead Engineers to design scalable and efficient data pipelines.
• Review and guide parallel data engineering workstreams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and delivery timelines.
• Support PM/Scrum Master with technical effort estimations and sprint planning.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Act as a technical liaison between client stakeholders and offshore delivery teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, including ETL development and data pipeline orchestration.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Services.
• Strong proficiency in SQL scripting and relational database design.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse design principles and dimensional modeling.
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Databricks (PySpark or Spark SQL).
• Familiarity with Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional and distributed team settings.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Power BI or other visualization tools.
• Knowledge of data governance and quality frameworks.
