Job Description

Santander is a global leader and innovator in the financial services industry. The Associate, Information Security is responsible for detecting threats and vulnerabilities in target systems, networks, and applications by conducting systems, network, web vulnerability assessment and security testing. The incumbent identifies security flaws and weaknesses that can be exploited to cause business risk and provides insights into prioritizing security resources. Responsibilities include experience with CVSS, influencing peers and management, conducting Software Composition Analysis, SAST, DAST, Penetration testing, working with stakeholders for remediation, conducting proof of concepts, vendor comparisons, risk assessments, security research, vulnerability assessments, walkthroughs of assessment reports, process improvements, developing security metrics, following standard methodologies to detect threats, interacting with partners, monitoring security reports, performing web application security assessments (e.g., SQL injection, cross-site scripting), preparing system security reports, promoting cross-department collaboration, providing escalation and technical security consulting support. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years experience in information security, governance, IT audit, or risk management, 5+ years SAS experience, experience with web application and code vulnerability scanning tools such as AppScan, Fortify, WebInspect, Burp Suite, subject matter expert leadership, security certifications and ethical hacking experience are a plus, exposure to IT risk management, strong relationship building and presentation skills. The base pay range is $80,625 to $132,500 annually, varying by skills, experience, and location. The role embraces a strong risk culture and is an equal opportunity position.
