Job Description

Labor Finders of Austell is seeking an experienced box truck driver. In this position, you will safely operate a box truck to transport goods, including loading and unloading cargo, adhering to traffic laws and DOT regulations, and maintaining the vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Safe Driving: Operate the box truck safely and responsibly, following all traffic laws and company policies.
• Route Planning & Navigation: Plan and follow routes efficiently, potentially using GPS or maps, to ensure timely deliveries.
• Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluids, tires, and lights, and reporting any issues.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including manifests, signatures, and any issues encountered.
• Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
• Inventory Checks: Verify loads for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors regarding route changes, delays, or other issues.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• At least 21 years old
• Able to work independently and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Excellent communication skills
• Trucking or warehouse experience is a plus
